Born and raised in China, I am thankful for my parents sending me abroad to the US for university.

During summer vacation in univeristy, I was eager to gain working experience and travel at the same time. I looked around and found out about an internship abroad opportunity from Sage Corps. Sage Corps connect students to full-time internship(paid or unpaid) in 6 continents. I applied and went to Paris for 6 weeks as an Intern.

On top of my full-time internship, I attended weekly events with a cohort of other students, and used my weekends to explore the city. The startup scene was vibrant in Paris. I had the opportunity to connect with industrial professional and learn from them, in addition to the endless summer block parties and adventurous night out.

Sage Corps took care of everything - my startup match, housing, insurance, on-the-ground staff, etc. That was me having to paid them to provide me with the necessary resource. The program fee wasn't cheap. Yet, I am thankful, as it showed me what was possible. I see the world is always looking for talented people willing to learn and work.

The next summer, I pitched myself in CES(they also have scholarships for students like most tech events) and was able to land a paid internship in London myself, traveling to Morocco via Italy right after I was done. Et voila, I haven’t stopped exploring the world since.

Sage Corps has programs on 6 different continents, and is looking for top-level university talent to join their Summer cohorts!
